Dear Friends of Hospice,

The Spencer County Hospice will hold it 26th annual Walk-A-Thon on Sunday, October 7th, 2018. Registration is at 1:30pm in front of the Hospice office.  The Walk will start at 2:00pm.

It is through your continued financial support that we have been able to offer the best end-of-life care available to our patients and their families. We operate as a Not-for-Profit Hospice Agency. This means that we will never refuse to provide services due to financial circumstances.

We need your support again this year! In addition to the donations you made in the past for our Walk-A-Thon we ask that you try to get a team/friends together to walk on October 7th. Each member on the team would get their own pledges. Your one donation could triple if you put a team together.

Additional information is available by calling Beth Kenney at the Hospice office at (812) 649-9151. Registration is at 1:30. Drinks and refreshments will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you and your team members at the Hospice Office on October 7th!

Welcome to Spencer County Hospice

Hospice is the "something more" that can be done for the patient and the family when the illness cannot be cured. It is a concept based on comfort-oriented care. Referral into hospice is a movement into another mode of therapy, which may be more appropriate for terminal care. Hospice staff believe that when family members (including children) experience the dying process in a caring environment, it helps counteract the fear of their own mortality and the mortality of their loved one.

We are a not-for-profit organization and receive funds from United Way and from our generous community in the form of donations, memorial gifts and grants. Please help your Spencer County Hospice by making a tax deductable donation. Thank you so much.
